Kids’ Night Out
Do you enjoy spending time with kids of all ages?
Do you want to make an impact on the life of local foster and adoptive families?
Do you love Jesus and want to share that love with kids in our community?
If so- our Kids' Night Out team might be a great fit for you!
What is KNO?
Kids’ Night Out (KNO) is a fun night out for kids and a free night off for parents! KNO allows our volunteer team the opportunity to build relationships with children in the local foster care and adoption community, whether they are currently in foster care or the adopted or biological children of BigHouse families. Kids attend KNO for 3 hours- during that time volunteers will engage them with games, play time, dinner, crafts and a devotional. Think of it as a mini VBS.
When is KNO?
KNO is hosted one Friday night each month. It’s a 3 hr respite event for our families- parents register their children to attend and then are able to drop them off to our KNO team from 6PM-8:30PM on KNO nights!
Who can help?
Our Volunteer team is a conglomeration of local individuals who have a heart for serving foster and adoptive families in our community. All volunteers should be 18 years or older, consent to and pass a background check, be willing to sign and agree to our statement of conduct and able to commit to serving as many KNO dates as possible. Due to the cost of background checks and volunteer supplies, we prefer for our KNO volunteers to try and commit to being a part of our team for a session at a time. Our sessions are Spring, Summer and Fall (typically 3-4 KNO dates per session.) If you are interested in joining our KNO Team, sign up below!
