Santa’s Workshop
Each December BigHouse hosts a FREE shopping event for foster and adoptive families in our area. This event provides Christmas presents for kids in care, kids adopted out of care and biological children of foster and adoptive parents. We typically have over 150 families participate and serve over 400 children at this event.
BigHouse collects new toys and gift items specifically for this event each year. Donations can be made directly to BigHouse or to collection sites around town. If you are interested in hosting a collection, email bighouse@ourbighouse.org for more info.
Kids shopping experience
Many of the kids we serve may not have had an opportunity to be the gift giver before. Our kids shopping event allows them to choose from hundred of small gift items for their family members. Kids can shop for their parents and siblings and a volunteer assists with the shopping and gift wrap.

This event could not go on without so many awesome volunteers! We have gift wrap elves, childcare helpers, shopping assistants and more.

BigHouse works with donation partners throughout the year to prepare for this event, however, most donations are collected during November and early December.
